As a saxophonist, he has toured with the Beach Boys and with Frankie Valli. He has also been featured with the Jaki Byard Quartet. For many years he has been a very successful NYC writer and player for recordings and jingles. He has arranged and orchestrated shows for Broadway star Bruce Adler.
Howard has been a very successful orchestra leader for corporate and private events. He conducted, arranged, and orchestrated the music for Joel Grey’s Mickey Katz Review. He played woodwinds for the Twyla Tharp Ballet at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.   Howard conducted four classical music concerts with a 25 piece orchestra for international publisher Rupert Murdoch in New York City.  He was also flute soloist for the Vivaldi Festival. He has produced a Jazz album titled 'Shadow Song'. He composed all the songs and is featured playing Jazz saxophone. As a Klezmer clarinetist he is world-renowned. Among many accomplishments, he was featured in Itzhak Perlman’s PBS TV special 'In The Fiddler’s House'. His most recent recording is 'Bronx'.
