He has played various instruments on over 1500 recordings and jingles, and produced the Ben E. King CD “I’ve Been Around.”
In the R&B field, he has worked with Ben E. King, Bobby Hebb, Eddie Floyd, Ruby & the Romantics, Chubby Checker, Lenny Welsh, Betty Wright, Frieda Payne, and Red Prysock. He has also worked with independent producers Patrick Adams, John Abbott, Jig Saw, Mike Collier from RCA, Ken Luttman from Capital, Bernard Purdie, and Horace Ott.

He has also played many Broadway and Off Broadway shows, and has backed up many Doo–Wop acts, including The Duprees, The Chantels, The Shirells, The Flamingo’s, The Mystics, The Capris, Dion, The Coasters, and The Drifters.
He has worked with The Swans, Tony and the Daydreamers, The Fireflies, Vito and the Salutations, The Don Young Four, The Upper Hand, Enoch Light, Irving Spice, and Staxx.
Don Albano, aka Don Young, is a musician, singer, composer, arranger, producer, and sound engineer. He plays guitar, electric bass, mandolin, clarinet, soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone.
He did the arrangements for “Cry Me A River” and “My Funny Valentine” on the 'The NY Skyscrapers and Friends' CD.
